JJ TWH & MFT is a passion project driven by myself, Jesseca Johanson, and my husband Steeve Bradet.

 

Together we have built our dream ranch and our dream herd of Canadian and Heritage bloodline Tennessee Walkers.

 

Over the years, my interests shifted to the rarer breed of Missouri Fox Trotters.

 

I really encourage readers to check out the MFTHBA's write up on the history of the Missouri Fox Trotter here. There is no need to rewrite it.

 

One of the biggest misconceptions I have heard from people familiar with walkers over fox trotters, is that fox trotters can't keep up, or that they are unable to perform a lateral gait. 

 

My goal is to breed, raise and train smooth, fast, level headed fox trotters that will give any good walker a run for their money.

 

I have selected two colts from Wyoming to spear head this project. One is a direct son of MFTHBA's 2025 stallion of the year, "Awe Looky Here Now". As far as I am aware, he is Bob's only son in Canada.

 

Our second stud colt is by Foxvangen's Solaris, who will be a great outcross on our Dusty fillies that carry a creme gene.

 

Our herd still consists of many great walking horses; our focus for breeding is solely focused on breeding rare fox trotters.

There are approximately 100,000 fox trotters registered with the MFTHBA.

​

There are approximately 550,000 registered walkers with TWHBEA.

​

AQHA surpassed 6 million registered Quarter Horses in 2020.
