Kip has been growing up on the ranch since the spring of 2021. His dam's sire, Canadian Shaker of McDonald Farms has greats like Mack K's Handshaker, Merry Go Boy, Merry Boy, Midnight Mack K, and Deep Purple all close up on his pedigree.  Kip's heritage shows in his ease of gait and gentle demeanor. He is easy to handle and work with. Kip is easy to catch, good for the farrier, ties and loads.

Kip was started under saddle in August of 2022, and then put back to pasture to grow up. In February 2023 he went for his first trail ride ever, after sitting since the end of August 2022. He was a real super star, proving once again that giving these young horses time to soak really works. He was also hauled to an arena a few days later and once again showed us why we love the old bloodlines. 

​

We have started hauling Kip to trails off our property. He is proving to be a real handy horse. He's not very spooky and he has a good work ethic without getting really hot. He may be on the smaller side, but don't let that fool you. Kip is strong and willing to step out when asked.

​

Kip is up-to-date on everything including dental.
